Meet Ivo: Affiliate Management Lead at Ludicrum
A Typical Workday as Affiliate Management Lead
"After my morning coffee and a good 2-hour long “getting my dog to listen to me and eat his breakfast” session, I log in and instantly check the numbers. Whether it’s our KPIs, affiliate partner performance, or general company figures - it's always my first glance of the day.
From there, I see if there are any urgent matters that need attending to, and regardless of the answer, it's time for coordination with the team. We use our internal chats, and sometimes calls, to redistribute responsibility and brainstorm ideas on how to both fix and improve certain processes. Affiliate Management is an ever-changing field where every day you wake up, there's something new and fresh happening.

After that, I like to see how the industry breathes. I do that by participating in industry chats, groups and checking in with friends in similar roles to me and my team. This gives me a great insight into what is happening and, more often than not, can result in a good friendly recommendation that I can personally use for our own business goals.
Some days are heavy on calls and networking, others on planning and reporting, but there’s always a sense of movement. I also make sure to check in with the team regularly — sharing feedback, solving challenges together, and making sure we’re aligned on the bigger picture. And of course, a day wouldn't be complete without some jokes. Okay, not some, a LOT of jokes."
The Most Exciting Part of the Role
"When I got into this role, I wasn't expecting how unpredictable and dynamic it will be. One moment, I am in a call with my teammate, discussing our current performance and data, and the next moment I am talking to an industry friend who is telling me about the newest affiliate practices in Europe. Every conversation, regardless if it's with my own teammates, or people outside the organization, are a great opportunity to learn and grow, which I LOVE about this role."
Favourite Value
"Kaizen - constant growth. Everyone, regardless how young or old, should grow and learn. This is what Kaizen is all about, and this is why I love and stand behind this core value.
'Live as if you were to die tomorrow. Learn as if you were to live forever.'"
Advice for Someone Considering a Role at Ludicrum
"Don't consider. Join!"
Supporting the Team
"I usually pay attention to team member's energy, enthusiasm, tone and level of stress to notice shifts in communication pattern. Needing extra support is not inherently bad, it just means they are willing to learn, with some guidance."

Leadership Lessons
"That's an easy answer - delegation. Delegating is not just about asking someone else to do something. It's about giving them the power and the responsibility to achieve something on their own, which will further help them in their own careers. It's difficult to teach someone how to do something - especially if you need to do it 5 times - but it's incredibly rewarding when you see that person do it flawlessly and using the knowledge from it to better themselves."
Continuous Improvement
"Our Learning & Development program. It's such a great tool that Ludicrum offers so we can constantly grow and feel more and more comfortable in our shoes, knowing that we are making the right decisions."
