🥜 In a nutshell
The Casino Risk Specialist is responsible for monitoring and mitigating risks related to casino gameplay, player behaviour, and fraudulent or abusive activity, with a primary focus on slots and live casino environments.
This role focuses on analysing player and game KPIs, reviewing wagering patterns, detecting payment and behaviour-based fraud, and assessing game volatility to control bonus exposure.
By doing this, the Casino Risk Specialist safeguards the casino against financial loss, ensures responsible bonus allocation, and maintains a stable and controlled risk environment.
Through effective detection, game-risk filtering, and investigative decision-making, the Casino Risk Specialist is able to protect margin, reduce fraud-driven losses, and support operational risk strategies across the business.
🎯 The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:
Casino Risk & Player Behaviour Monitoring
Monitor slot and live casino activity to identify suspicious wagering behaviour, bonus misuse, or advantage play.
Analyse player KPIs, game KPIs, bet/win patterns and escalate abnormal trends.
Investigate activity manually using available data and risk signals.
Game Risk Assessment & Bonus Exclusion Management
Review new and existing casino titles for volatility, multiplier potential, and exploitation risk.
Maintain and update exclusion lists for games disallowed for bonuses and promotional use.
Fraud & Payment Abuse Investigation
Identify payment fraud and suspicious transactional activity using SEON and internal systems.
Conduct investigations into chargebacks, stolen payment methods, account takeovers and financial risk behaviour.
Recommend corrective actions, risk flags, escalations, and added verification steps.
Case Handling, Reporting & Documentation
Produce evidence-based investigation reports and provide escalation recommendations.
Maintain structured documentation of risk cases, outcomes and rule adjustments.
Cross-Team Collaboration & Operational Development
Participate in projects involving casino products, game launches, bonus design and payment fraud initiatives.
Contribute to development of risk rules, internal processes, and future automation logic.
Share learnings and best practices from regulated-market experience to strengthen internal standards.
⚡ All you need is…
Must Have:
Minimum 2+ years of experience in casino risk, fraud prevention, or similar operational risk role.
Strong understanding of online casino player behaviour (slots & live casino).
Familiarity with SEON or comparable device fingerprinting / transaction monitoring tools.
Ability to analyse player activity using KPI-based evaluation and limited datasets.
Strong written communication for investigation summaries, escalation reports & risk justification.
Experience with bonus risk strategies and game exclusion logic.
Understanding of bonus abuse patterns, advantage play tactics, and high-volatility exploitation.
Familiarity with device-linking, multi-accounting indicators, and behavioural fraud signals.
Nice to have:
Proven exposure to payment fraud detection, preferably within or influenced by regulated markets.
Experience with FullStory for behavioural review or friction mapping.
Familiarity with Monday.com, Slack, Notion, or similar operational workflow platforms.
