We are seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist to join our finance team. This role is responsible for managing payroll processes, ensuring accurate and timely payroll for all employees, and maintaining compliance with local regulations. As a remote position, the successful candidate must be based in Croatia and have experience working with Pantheon software for payroll calculations.

🎯 The responsibilities & the impact YOU will have:

• Process payroll accurately and on time using Pantheon software.
  
• Handle all payroll tasks, including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting.
• Ensure compliance with Croatian labour laws, tax, and social security obligations.
• Address employee inquiries on payroll, deductions, and related matters.
• Collaborate with HR and finance to improve payroll procedures and resolve issues.
• Maintain payroll records and generate reports for management.
• Resolve payroll issues (e.g., bank holidays, late payments).
• Manage payroll setup for new hires and process terminations.

⚡ All you need is…

• Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or in a similar role in Croatia.
• Strong knowledge of Pantheon software for payroll calculations.
• In-depth understanding of Croatian payroll regulations, tax laws, and labour compliance.
• High attention to detail, accuracy, and confidentiality.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and relevant software.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work independently remotely.
• Fluent in written and spoken English.

       Nice to have

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Familiarity with payroll and accounting systems like Pantheon and Netsuite.
